Board and train available!

It’s taken a while to pull everything together, but I am finally ready to unveil a new service: This summer, I am offering a very small-scale board-and-train program for clients who are unable to participate in traditional obedience classes or private lessons due to distance, time constraints, or physical limitations. Here’s the dirt, in case you’re interested:

• Total cost is $1,250, with half that amount – $625 – due at signup and the balance due at the end of the program.
• Program includes an in-depth initial evaluation; 30 to 36 hours of passive training (freeshaping); a minimum of 20 hours of active training focused on specific skills; field trips to pet-friendly venues to work on socialization; and my special Going Home Course, which is a full day of training for you on how to maintain your dog’s skills at home. You’ll also get daily updates on your dog’s progress, including photos and/or videos, plus access to my online training manual, which I update about once a year with new information and techniques I’ve picked up along the way. 
• The first session is already booked, but I still have two sessions available: June 8-21 and June 29-July 15. (NOTE: Due to the complexity of my schedule and the highly structured nature of this program, these dates are NOT flexible.)

This is a luxury-tier program; as such, it is not eligible for the Pay-It-Forward program. I accept only one board-and-train client at a time. During the program, your dog will live in my home and be treated as a member of my pack. The program is a more intense version of the protocols I follow whenever I introduce a new dog to my household: three days of freeshaping during virtually every waking hour, followed by daily training sessions aimed at developing specific skills and addressing specific behavior issues as needed.

Please note that this program is designed to teach basic obedience commands and address common behavior issues in pets. I do not currently offer any specialized training for working dogs (e.g., livestock guardians, protection animals, service dogs for individuals with disabilities, etc.)
