The 10 a.m. group class for April 6-May 11 has filled up, so I have set the form to stop accepting responses and have added an 11 a.m. class. The signup link now goes to the form for that class. If you are thinking about taking an obedience class this spring, sign up now — don’t wait until the second class books up! I cap the number of participants in each class at 10 dog/handler teams to ensure that we have enough space to work safely and everyone gets personal attention and support throughout the six-week course.

I am really excited about the composition of this current group. We will have seven current or former shelter/rescue dogs, and at least five of our handlers work for local shelters in either a professional or volunteer capacity. From the beginning, my mission has been to help shelter dogs find their forever homes, and this type of participation really advances that goal. Thank you to everyone who has signed up.
If you’re thinking of training your dog this spring, a group class is really the best way to go. Not only is it 60% cheaper than private lessons, but your dog gets the benefit of socialization and learns to ignore distractions and focus on you. Bonus: You’ll be supporting two good causes, because your $50 signup fee will be divided evenly between the Tucumcari Railroad Museum, which is hosting us, and Paws and Claws Animal Rescue.
As always, if you can’t afford the $50, hit me up, and we’ll figure out a workaround.
Let’s go train some dogs!
Emily
